Delhi University Admission Cut-Off 2017
DU Cut off 2017: – University of Delhi has started to announce the DU 2017 cut off for admissions to all the UG programmes from 24th of June 2017. The second list of DU 2017 Cut Off has been announced from July 1 onwards. Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), is one of the premier DU Colleges, has already announced its second cut off list on June 30 which candidates can see below. Earlier SRCC was also the first college to announce first cut off of DU 2017. According the DU 2017 first cut off of SRCC, the applicants needed more than 97.75 per cent of marks in their Best Of Four subjects for getiing admissions in B.Com (H) and BA (H) Economics programmes, respectively.
As per the released second Cut Off, admissions to BA (H) Economics have now been closed while candidates will need to secure 97.50 percent for admissions to B.Com (H) programme. Earlier the DU cutoff 2017 was to be announced from June 20, 2017. The cut off of DU 2017 is minimum marks to be secured by the Delhi University applicants for admissions to the UG programmes in different colleges of the university.
The Delhi University is to announce as many as five cut offs for DU admissions 2017. Firstly the DU announced six cut off but the sixth cut off has been dropped for now. The cut off of DU is merely based on several factors which includes the number of DU 2017 applications, highest and the lowest marks obtained by candidates in Class 12th boards, the number of seats offered in each programme and the previous year DU cut off trends.
The DU cut-offs will be determined on the basis of Best of Four subjects’ marks calculation. The central university is declaring the DU cut offs in both online as well as offline modes. The DU cutoff for 2017-18 admissions will be declared for each programme offered in every college affiliated to the University of Delhi.
However, St. Stephen’s College and Jesus and Mary College will be announcing their own cut-offs based on the entrance test conducted by the colleges for admissions to different undergraduate programmes. Candidates can know the college-wise DU cut off lists for each of these offered programmes. Further, the varsity will be announcing DU cut-off 2017 for every category including General (UR), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Kashmiri Migrants (KM) and Children/ Widows of Defence Personnel (CW).

DU Cut off 2017: Instructions:
- The DU is announcing its first cut off 2017 for each of the programmes for the admission year 2017-18.
- The calculations of cut off is based on the ‘Best 4 subjects’.
- The candidates who meet the cut off of DU will then go through to proceed for the verification of documents and remittance of admission fees into the college.
- Once the candidates have been admitted to their respective colleges as per DU first cut-off list 2017, the central university will be announcing the next cut-off list of DU 2017 admissions.
- This process will continue until the announcement of as many as DU six cut offs for Delhi University 2017-18 admissions.
- If stills the seats remain vacant in different courses after the six cut offs of DU 2017-18 have been announced, the colleges will publish their own list of merit mentioning the name of DU 2017 applicants as per their passing scoring marks.
